The Screwfix Foundation - Funding Application Portal

Welcome to our funding application portal.  Please read carefully the following points before applying:

  • To be eligible your organisation MUST:

    • Be a registered charity or registered not for profit organisation
    • Help people in need. This could be by reason of financial hardship, sickness, distress or other disadvantages in the UK.  We do not support projects that will benefit the general public i.e. community centres, sports clubs and associations, uniformed groups such as scout and girl guide groups.
    • Restrict the funding.  Funding must support a project that relates to the repair, maintenance, improvement or construction of buildings that we are used by people in need.
    • Have an online presence such as a website, or Facebook or Instagram page so we can clearly see the impact your organisation makes.
    • Be able to use the funding within 12 months of the grant being awarded and provide an update once the works are completed.
    • To allow other organisations to benefit from a grant please do not apply if you have received funding from us within the last 2 years.  You are welcome to reapply after this timeframe, however your previous project must be completed and an impact report provided otherwise your application will be rejected.

Please note that applications are approved at the quarterly Trustees meeting which are held in March, June, September and December. The cut off date for applications will be 4pm on the 10th of the month prior to  the Trustee meeting (unless the 10th falls over a weekend, then the cut off will 4pm on the Friday before).

We provide grants in the region of £5,000 per project.  We are oversubscribed each quarter due to the very high number of applications we receive.  We therefore prioritise the following projects;

  • Where we are funding the project in full and
  • Where the project will directly benefit people in need and will have a lasting impact.
  • We do not support projects that will benefit the general public i.e. community centres, sports clubs and associations, uniformed groups such as scout and girl guide groups.

You may save your project and work on it again at your earliest convenience before submitting it.  Please re-read your project carefully before submitting.
